Ora the molecule will have you performing a solo DJ set in your living room at 3 am with this airy synth-pop track.

Ora the Molecule is the moniker of Norweigian born Nora Schjelderup who has spent much of her life moving around the world. The music of Nora and her collaborators is greatly inspired by smooth pop and the nostalgia of retro electronica.
After my first listen of "The Ball," I had to double-check the release date because it feels so nostalgic. It sounds like a song you would have heard while shopping at Urban Outfitters in the early 2010s and I honestly love that about it. The echoing vocals and driving beat, fit with the sounds of one of the more ethereal Sylvan Esso tracks.
The music video was shot and directed by the Polish director/cinematographer Kristof Gerega. Of the collaboration, Nora writes:
“We met in Berlin, and shortly after he came to visit us in the mountains of Andalucia, Granada.
We shot the film over a weekend in between stealing oranges from the side of the road, swimming in the Alboran sea, running around with the (then puppy) Olive, and borrowing a horse from the husband of the lady that worked in the local grocery corner shop."
